Did you cry when you found out you'd won, CSF?
(What are you suggesting of our Noble Leader, WW?) |

Perhaps she's suggesting that MrsL has been busy knitting beanies _________________ Alice

Yay! Thankyou SO much Mrs L! The Monmouth hat is just brilliant!
And as the owner of the first one in Canada I feel very special. I shall wear it only on very special STATE occasions.
I wish you lived next door! I have a couple of hundred fleeces in the barn that I just know I am only going to get 20 cents a pound for. Plus I won't get paid until next year. What would they be worth in Monmouth hats?!
These are from sheep that have just lived happily through a minus 40 below winter as snug as bugs in rugs.
We kept out about 20 fleeces for sock production, I would rather GIVE socks to people than sell wool for no money to the Chinese sweatshops which is where I fear my last year's wool ended up.
An interesting aside. In Canada, in 1918, a single fleece was worth the equivalent in todays money of $75. For one fleece.
This was before man-made fibres...
Thanks again. You are a Star! |

I'm so slow!! Sorry for the lack of responce. I only thought to even look this up because I saw it on thread about our meet-up, which I only checked to see what Dave had written. I hang my head in shame.
But at least I'm now not on here often because I'm currently away from home only online when I can borrow my friend's computer. |
