Got two gallons of cottage cider into demi-johns; bottled the first of the elderflower; bottled some mead. Desperately trying to make some rooma nd free up some demi-johns, but seem to be losing that particular battle _________________ unboughtdelicacies

Hedgerow wine into demi-john, bottled some more eldeflower, and the rowan is bubbling away in its pan; changed Graham's method slightly, but looks quite promising. _________________ unboughtdelicacies

At the weekend i got the Cottage cider strained and started some more toffee vodka..................what should have been a little taster turned into a good night!
Got some tea wines to get on the go i hate having the heat mat on and only having 2 things on the go might try the ginger one too the .
The last lot of tea wine is looking good but not tasted it since bottling
Mrs L how long do you leave wine before drinking hubby insists it must be left a while because of bottle sickness but is that just for connosseur wines not country ones?

Um, completley forgot about all the demijohns under the stairs including an apple wine still in demijohn made last year, had been racked off once. Also the nana wine which I made in March I think (also have been so so busy with work that got distacted).
So today as weather is horrible thought I better have a look at them. Would you believe it but the nana wine looks as if it is still very gently fermenting! This could be neat alcohol by now. I am going to rack it off again into another demijohn (rather than bottles if it is fizzing still, airlock still good and has water in it and looks clear). I suppose I can check it with the hyrdometer, bit scared of trying it incase it is paint stripper! How can I tell without poisoning myself? _________________ I love deadlines. Nanas well ripened ones plus some of the skins. I can't remember where I got the recipe from, might have been Mrs L, might have been one of my wine books, if you like I can see if I can find the recipe for you.
Before the first rack off it had lots of goo in it (bits from the nanas and skin I suppose, but cleared quickly). DB offered to be the guineapig and try it and it was really nice, tasted like wine and not nanary at all and not too strong. Very clear too, the clearest of all my wines (the apple and peach refuse to clear no matter what I do). The apple was nice, not appley, the peach has the most amazing fragrance to it (of peaches not surprisingly) and would make a great summer drink - it is a bit thin, so I would probably treat it like a spritzer mix and add ice to it, got a while to wait before summer though! The tea is a bit clearer and tastes a little of tea, you can taste the tannins.
So it went well and I will let them settle and then if the nana looks like it has stopped fermenting (didn't taste fizzy) I shall bottle them in a week or so.
Just got the dandylion, primrose and gorse to rack off and then bottle, seems the long stint in the cupboard under the stairs hasn't done any harm! _________________ I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by. (Douglas Adams)

With you now
I'm not sure I should be trusted with a recipe _________________ Aine |

just bottled a gallon of cottage cider tastes nice but not like shop bought(which i don't really like)
damson wine had a second rack due to throwing another sediment and strained and bottled 1litre damson gin ..................hic off for a lay down now
May start some more of mrs L's beer as it went down a storm it had a wonderfully ice creamy head on it though reminiscent of the cream of manchester adverts!!
do i need to reduce the priming sugar slightly?
looking forward to spring and trying lots more wonderful recipes ,thanks for sharing everyone
